Website Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies solely to the bambergstadtfuehrung.de website. It does not describe processing in the mobile app.
1. Controller
Dustin Eversmann, Claviusstr. 25, 96047 Bamberg, Germany. Email: info@bambergstadtfuehrung.de.
2. Hosting and server logs
The website is provided through GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When the site is accessed, the hosting infrastructure processes connection data required for technical operation. This may include the IP address, time, requested resource, and technical browser and request information.
Processing serves the secure and stable delivery of the website, error analysis and protection against misuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is secure, stable and reliable delivery. Retention depends on technical necessity and the provider’s security and retention requirements; no reliable single fixed period is available to us.
3. Managing your consent
Optional analytics and advertising services are loaded only after you consent. Your choice is stored locally in your browser so it can be respected on later visits. You can change it at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.
4. Google Analytics and Google Ads
After you consent, we use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, services of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to analyse website use and measure advertising campaign performance.
Website interactions may be recorded, including whether you follow a link to the Apple App Store or Google Play. Browser, device, usage, referrer and approximate location information may also be processed. Google may process this information for the commissioned services and share it with affiliated companies. Processing is based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where information is stored on or read from your device, section 25(1) TDDDG.
5. International transfers
Affiliated companies, particularly Google LLC and GitHub, Inc. in the United States, may process data. The European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified US companies; Google LLC and GitHub state that they are certified. Where a transfer is not covered by that decision, EU Standard Contractual Clauses may provide an appropriate safeguard. The applicable basis depends on the recipient and processing concerned.
6. Retention
User-level and event-level data stored in Google Analytics is retained for two months under our current configuration. New user activity does not continuously extend this period. Aggregated reports may remain available for longer.
Your consent choice remains in your browser until you change it, clear browser data or renewed consent becomes necessary.
7. Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time through Cookie settings in the footer, with effect for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
8. Your rights and complaints
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and a right to object where applicable. You may withdraw consent at any time. Contact the controller named above to exercise your rights.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is activated only if you consent to Analytics. It helps us understand page views, website and store-link interactions and referral information, and improve the site. Browser and device information, technical IP processing during transmission and approximate location inferred from technical data may be involved. Google states that IP addresses are technically processed during collection but are not logged or stored in Google Analytics. The recipient and service provider is Google Ireland Limited.
Google Ads and advertising measurement
Google Ads is activated only if you consent to advertising measurement. Ad-click and campaign information, website interactions and transitions to Apple App Store or Google Play may be used to attribute an ad interaction to a later action. Google may store information in first-party cookies for this purpose. We do not use website data for remarketing or personalised advertising.
Voluntary choice and rejection
Providing optional tracking data is neither legally nor contractually required. Rejection does not restrict use of the website; only the rejected analytics or advertising measurement is omitted.
